NATIONAL JEWISH HEALTH
ink! has partnered with the National Jewish Health for several years. National Jewish Health is near and dear to founder, Keith Herbert's heart. His father was a patient of National Jewish Health and they helped keep him alive while he awaited a lung transplant. Starting out with sponsorship to National Jewish Health annual Beaux arts ball, The relationship grew and ink! Now has a coffee cart inside National Jewish Health. Our relationship has grown even more. Last November ink! Created a "we breathe hope" blend for National Jewish Health. Twenty percent of this blend goes back to help support Morgridge Academy. Morgridge Academy at National Jewish Health is a unique, free day school for 90 chronically ill students in kindergarten through eighth grades. Its mission is to provide a safe, friendly and healthy school environment where students succeed academically, medically and socially.

5280 AIR Society (Asthma, Immunology and Respiratory) is a group of young leaders in Denver who are invested in the National Jewish Health mission and want to make a difference. ink! first became involved with 5280 AIR Society in 2016 as an event supporter and donor. In 2017 ink! is increasing their role by joining the group’s committee.
The 5280 AIR Society is modeled after the New York AIR Society, which started in 1991. They represent a variety of industries and will lead the next generation of the institution’s philanthropy by sharing their ideas and vision to propel our fundraising efforts, drive awareness, and pave the way for up-and-coming young leadership. Some of the members and their family had been treated for asthma, allergies and/or immune system disorders at National Jewish Health. This common tie gave them the inspiration to make their mark by supporting our events and eventually starting their own event. Since the NY AIR Society’s inception, it has raised $4 million for the institution. The 5280 AIR Society is striving to do the same.
THERE WITH CARE
There with Care's mission is to provide a wide range of thoughtful and fundamental services to children and families during the critical phases of a medical crisis. This group serves families referred by medical agencies by building a network of services and people who ease the burden of life's day-to-day obligations with compassion and care.
ink! Coffee is partnering with There with Care in 2017, donating drink cards for families during their time of need. Sometimes these families have to make choices between paying the copay of a medication or splurging on a cup of coffee. We wanted to make their lives a little bit easier and help them a little along the way. This is just one of the many ways that ink! Cares about the families that There With Care supports.
